Project overview

As part of a significant expansion to an existing frozen food manufacturing facility, Safecoat Flooring was appointed to install a large-scale epoxy flooring system designed to meet strict food-grade and operational requirements.

The scope included over 8,000m² of epoxy flooring across production, cold storage, and high-traffic areas, with extensive coving installed to ensure seamless wall-to-floor transitions and long-term hygiene compliance.

Challenges

The project presented several logistical and operational challenges. The scale of the expansion, combined with the regional location of the site, required detailed planning and coordination to maintain progress alongside other construction trades.

Strict hygiene standards, temperature-controlled environments, and evolving site conditions meant the flooring system had to be delivered with precision. In addition, the project scope expanded during construction, introducing multiple variations and additional work areas that required fast, adaptable solutions without impacting the overall program.
