Probiotec needed a flooring system that met strict hygiene and durability standards while blending seamlessly with existing facility finishes. The project also required removing extensive failed flooring, levelling the substrate, and completing all works within tight project timelines to avoid disrupting pharmaceutical production schedules.
Safecoat began by jackhammering and removing the damaged flooring, then applied a high MPA epoxy mortar screed to achieve a stable, level substrate. We installed a 6mm Hycrete polyurethane cement system, chosen for its chemical resistance and suitability in pharmaceutical environments. A UV-stable polyurethane roll coat in teal blue ensured long-term colour stability and aesthetic consistency. Epoxy mortar coving was added to match the existing radius and profile, ensuring hygiene and a seamless transition between old and new areas.
